Tissues in Action

1Why are Plant and Animal Tissues Different?

Plant and animal tissues differ because the jobs differ: a plant often needs a wall-and-hold story; an animal often needs a move-and-sense story, as taught. Different is a job-compare, not “plants are simple”. One tissue-type each is enough.

A leaf photo versus a puppy photo is not the tissue-test.

2The Musculoskeletal System

The musculoskeletal system is muscles and bones working as a pair: bone as a lever-or-hold, muscle as a pull that changes a joint. In action means the pair, not a bone poster alone or a muscle poster alone.

A skull photo with no pull named is only half the system.

3Types of Joints

Joints are named by how they move: hinge (as a door), ball-and-socket (as a shoulder-story), and a slight-or-fixed joint if the lesson named one. Type is a motion-test, not a Latin dump. One joint you can point to is enough.

Calling every bend “hinge” without a motion-check is a rush.

4Skeletal System

The skeletal system is the set of bones as a hold-protect-lever frame. A skull protects; a limb-bone can lever; the set together is posture. System means the set, not one bone called “the skeleton”.

A single rib is not the whole system.

5A definition is a test you can run

Tissue / joint / skeleton is a test: a named job plus a place in the body or plant. If you only say “support”, you have a heading.

A yoga poster is not the test.

Figure. The test is the job: a living arm grows and pulls. A toy arm can look like an arm and still fail the test.

6Name the given before the unknown

The given is the part or the motion asked. The unknown is the type or the job. Copy “hinge-like” or “many ways” before you invent a name.

A sports-ad still is not the given elbow.

7One worked case is enough at this class

One pair (bone + muscle) or one joint-type is enough. A page of the same elbow-clone does not add a new plant-tissue.

Ten twins of “bones support” are still one idea.

8A miss: swapping the school name for the picture

A cricket-bat photo is a setting. The science is a lever-bone plus a pull. The bat is not a humerus.

A robot-arm cartoon is not this tissue.

Figure. A school name on a card is not the tissue. The picture that counts is the job: pull, hold, or hinge.
