Structural Organisation in Animals

1Organ and Organ System

Organ and organ system: an organ is tissues cooperating on one job; a system is organs on one bigger job (digest, circulate as taught). The heading is the scale-up, not a name-list. Stomach as organ, digestive as system — the school pair.

A cell named as an organ-system is a scale-skip.

2Morphology and Anatomy of a Frog

Frog morphology and anatomy (school): external looks (head, trunk, limbs as taught) plus named inner maps (digestive, circulatory, neural as listed). The frog is the case-animal, not every vertebrate. One honest map is enough.

A human-heart dump labelled “frog” is a steal.

3A tissue is a group of similar cells with a job

A tissue is a group of similar cells with a job: epithelial cover, muscle pull, connective bind, nerve-signal as taught. Tissue is the middle scale. Blood as a connective if the lesson placed it.

A whole kidney as “a tissue” is a scale-jump.

4An organ is a set of tissues with a job

An organ is a set of tissues with a job: the stomach mixes tissues to digest as taught. Organ is bigger than tissue, smaller than system. A job-sentence earns the organ-name.

A muscle-cell as “the heart organ” is a skip.

5Keep the scale: cell, tissue, organ, system

Keep the scale: cell, tissue, organ, system. A claim that jumps from cell to system without the middle words is a skip. The frog case should still use this ladder.

“Frog is cells” as the whole structural story is a skip.

One animal case is enough at this class: the frog as taught. Extra mammals are a later book. The case shows scale + a named map, not a zoo.

A catalogue of ten animals is not more structure.
