Body Fluids and Circulation

1Blood

Blood: plasma plus cells (RBC, WBC, platelets as taught). Blood is a carry-and-defend fluid, not “only red”. Plasma as the liquid; Hb in RBC as the O2-ride already met. One honest list is enough.

A ketchup-colour as the whole blood-science is a miss.

Figure. A settled tube splits 55% plasma on top from 45% cells below. Blood is a tissue with two layers, not a nameless red liquid.

2Lymph (Tissue Fluid)

Lymph (tissue fluid): a pale fluid from plasma that bathes cells and returns as taught. Lymph is the extra return-path, not a second blood. Nodes as filters if named.

Calling lymph “yellow blood” as the whole test is a weak slogan.

Figure. Plasma that leaves a capillary and is not reabsorbed is tissue fluid. Lymph vessels collect that leftover. Lymph is a drain path, not a second bloodstream.

3Circulatory Pathways

Circulatory pathways: open versus closed as taught; single versus double if compared. Human is closed and double as framed. Pathway is a route-word, not a heart-ad.

An insect path labelled “human aorta” is a steal.

Figure. Open circulation dumps blood into body spaces. Closed circulation keeps blood inside vessels and returns it to the heart. The test is whether the fluid stays in pipes.

4Double Circulation

Double circulation: a lung-loop and a body-loop as taught — right side to lungs, left side to body if the lesson split chambers. Double is two circuits, not “twice as much blood”. One schematic is enough.

A single fish-loop labelled double because there are two words is a miss.

Figure. Blood visits the lungs and the body as two separate loops. Each loop starts from one side of the heart and returns to the other. That is double circulation: two circuits, one pump pair.

5Regulation of Cardiac Activity

Regulation of cardiac activity: a pace-maker as taught plus a nerve/chemical cue if named. Regulation is a rate-adjust of the beat, not a mood. Keep it school-size — no treatment-manual.

A “try harder” slogan as the pace-maker is a miss.

Figure. The SAN is the starter. The AVN holds the wave so the atria finish, then the bundle spreads it into the muscle. Regulation here is this order, not a later ECG interval list.

6Disorders of Circulatory System

Disorders of the circulatory system: a named job-fail (hypertension, a coronary mention as taught) as name-plus-what-fails. Not a scare-poster, not a drug-list.

A skull-sticker with no fail-word is a mute scare.

Figure. A circulatory disorder in this chapter is a pipe that no longer opens. The right lumen is drawn one-third the left span so the opening, not a named clinic percent, is the claim.

How it works

7A miss: treating blood as only a red liquid

A miss: treating blood as only a red liquid. Plasma, cells, a clot-job, a defend-job sit in the same heading. Red is a glance.

A red-paint as “blood science” is the miss.

8Keep the claim at this class

Keep the claim at this class: named fluids, double loop, a pace-cue, a named fail. It is not a cardiology paper.

A journal-abstract tone is the wrong size.

Figure. Class 11 names parts and their jobs: blood layers, two loops, SAN order. ECG intervals and pressure traces belong to a later paper. Keep the claim at this class.
