Neural Control and Coordination

1Neural System

Neural system: a signal-network as taught — sense, decide, send a pull. Neural is a message-path, not a storage-box. CNS versus PNS if the lesson split them already here.

A hormone-gland as the neural system is a chapter-swap.

2Human Neural System

Human neural system: brain and spinal cord as CNS; nerves as PNS as taught. Human is the case-map, not every animal. One honest split is enough.

A frog-only map labelled human is a steal unless compared.

3Neuron as Structural and Functional Unit

Neuron as unit: cell body, dendrites, axon as taught; synapse as the meet. A neuron is the structural and functional unit — name-plus-job. Myelinated if named. One arrow-along-axon is enough.

A bone as a neuron because both are “long” is a miss.

4Generation and Conduction of Nerve Impulse

Generation and conduction of nerve impulse: a taught polarity-change that travels (Na+/K+ as framed if the lesson used ions). Impulse is a travel-look, not a mood. School-size: a rest, a flip, a travel — no university dump.

A “thinking hard” slogan as the impulse is a miss.

Figure. Rest sits below 0 mV. The spike crosses 0, then the membrane recovers. Slope is the rise, not a stored charge.

5Transmission of Impulses

Transmission of impulses: a synapse-release as taught — a chemical meet between neurons (or neuron-to-muscle). Transmission is the jump, not the axon-travel. One named transmitter if the lesson used one.

A wire-solder as the whole synapse is a mute picture.

Figure. At a chemical synapse the impulse hops: release into the cleft, then bind on the next cell. The gap is the point.

How it works

6Central Neural System

Central neural system: brain regions as taught (cerebrum, cerebellum, medulla as listed) plus the cord. CNS is a job-map: think/sense, balance, vital-rate as framed. One job per named region is enough — not a hundred-nucleus dump.

A “brain stores files” as the cerebrum-job is the leftover the last heading will refuse.

7Reflex Action and Reflex Arc

Reflex action and reflex arc: a fast path as taught — receptor, sensory, centre, motor, effector. Reflex is a short loop, not a thought-essay. Knee-jerk as the school case if named.

A long decision labelled reflex because it was “quick-ish” is a miss.

8A miss: treating the brain as a storage box

A miss: treating the brain as a storage box. The brain is a job-map (regions, reflexes, impulse-travel). Memory as a later word if taught — not a locker-poster.

A filing-cabinet sticker as the neural chapter is the miss.
